Become a Member
You can apply for membership by sending an application to the board at shir@shirhatzafon.dk or by filling out the form below.
To apply for membership, you must be at least 18 years old.
Benefits of Membership
- ✓Free participation in most activities, such as Shabbat services and holidays
- ✓Discounts on courses and special events, such as the popular Pesach Seder
- ✓The option to purchase your own siddur (prayer book) at a reduced price, so you can have your own copy at home
- ✓All members can participate actively in the community and have voting rights at general assemblies. Full membership also provides the opportunity to be elected to the board and thus influence the future of the congregation.
- ✓Access to our burial ground, so you have the opportunity for a Jewish burial
Types of Membership
Membership fees are set annually at the general assembly. No one is turned away for financial reasons — contact us if you need a reduced rate.
Full Membership
5.000 DKK / year
Full membership is for individuals who, according to Shir Hatzafon's statutes, can be recognized as Jewish. It provides access to all religious rights, voting rights at general assemblies, and the opportunity to be elected to the board.

2.500 DKK / year
Associate membership is for those who do not meet the criteria for full membership but wish to be part of the congregation. It provides the opportunity for active participation and voting rights at general assemblies. Associate members can include, for example, non-Jewish spouses and partners of members of Shir Hatzafon.
